Behavioral Health Services
In addition to providing care and rehabilitation therapy services, many locations also offer specialized care and treatment for patients and residents with short- and long-term psychiatric issues.
In these instances, a patient’s clinical care team is expanded to include the individual’s psychiatrist, primary care physician, a psychologist and a psychological counselor. This multidisciplinary team develops a person-centered care plan designed to help individuals modify their behaviors and learn skills that will help improve their quality of life. Specifically, these plans focus on strategies to reduce problem behaviors through meaningful activities.
The behavioral therapy locations in our selected centers are designed to minimize safety risks while preserving a comfortable, home-like environment. Policies and procedures also focus on resident care and safety.
Locations in southern California also offer a psychoeducational approach to learning in two programs that are directed toward children in grades 7 -12. These programs are conducted at two schools within our centers, Regency High School at Shandin Hills in San Bernardino (PDF 123KB) and Regency High School at Harbor View in Long Beach (PDF 115KB). Classrooms in these centers are predominately self-contained so that students may learn in a consistent, specialized environment.
